Recently we encountered a homeowner requesting additional light into areas of their residence. In particular the hallways were extremely dark, to the point of almost being dangerous without switching on lights. These halls were located in areas where traditional skylights or windows could not reach. Dark living spaces which are somehow removed from natural light are depressing as well as energy inefficient. Contrarily, rooms filled with natural light are more beautiful, uplifting to our spirits and energy efficient (no lights needed during the day). Daylight is simply an essential element that transforms conventional rooms into splendid spaces adding value and quality to our homes and lives. This homeowner loved the idea of adding much needed natural light to her dark space but was balking at the bubble style profile. Our answer was to modify the Sun Tunnel with a more traditional square glass skylight which would meet all aesthetic criteria.

As you can see roof aesthetics were met while providing much needed natural light. The darkened hallway was now full of light.
